As the season shifts, Dinosaur Designs Co-founders and Creative Directors Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy share their latest collection, Honey, an exploration of the warm translucent hues found in nature.
Honey draws inspiration from natural amber stones, late afternoon sun and warm woody hues, artfully captured in Dinosaur Designs signature handmade resin jewellery and homewares.
With its warm, gradated palette, Honey perfectly captures the sun’s shifting light. Alongside rich swirls of Honeycomb, Lemon and Light Horn grounded with classic neutrals Sandy Pearl and Cream, the collection introduces Dinosaur Designs' newest colour, Honey, a soft, translucent amber that evokes, as Louise describes it, “sunlight pouring in like honey”.
Rockpool Vase and Horn Vase in Honey
Horn and Rockpool vases form the statement silhouettes of the collection. Chosen for their organic hand-sanded shapes, the vessels embody the sun’s arc and capture the movement of light.
Temple Platters, Earth Bowls and Leaf Bowls of varying sizes come together to create a compelling tablescape, reminiscent of a sundrenched landscape.
In the jewellery collection, polished swirls of resin drip from glimmering gold across the Dew Drop earrings and Chain pendants, reimagined in Honey colours. Accompanying the highly polished pieces, the collection also includes the Organic Oval bangle, a new design available in three stackable sizes, as well as a curation of classic Dinosaur Designs rings.
Honey was photographed by Jedd Cooney and styled by Heleena Trahanas.
The collection launches on Wednesday 1st March, 2023 in all Dinosaur Designs stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New York, London and online.
