A unique opportunity has become available to join Dinosaur Designs, as the Manager of our new Emporium Melbourne store, due to open early September. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional retail leader to join us in opening our new boutique, while playing a valuable role in continuing the brand’s growth within Melbourne.
For over four decades, Dinosaur Designs has been creating contemporary Australian jewellery, homewares and objects that celebrate artistry, colour, craftsmanship and individuality. This is an exciting role for an experienced retail leader with a proven ability to exceed sales targets, build meaningful customer relationships, develop and lead high-performing teams, while maintaining a high-level of store presentation and an exceptional retail experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire your team through positive, hands-on leadership.
- Train, develop and mentor the team, discovering growth opportunities and ensuring they’re meeting their full potential.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including rostering, inventory, reporting, cash handling and administration.
- Build and maintain the foundations of the new store’s welcoming, engaging and service-driven store environment.
- Curate and maintain store displays to a high standard, in line with company guidelines.
- Partner with the brand’s wider management and marketing teams to discover growth opportunities, and create store-related social media content to expand our online presence.
- Drive store performance while nurturing a positive, collaborative team culture.
To succeed in this role, you will:

Dinosaur Designs is currently seeking experienced Casual Retail Associates to join our Sydney team, working across our CBD and Paddington store locations.
A passion for fashion, design, and exceptional customer service is essential, as you will be assisting customers with styling and sales to create memorable experiences.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Be driven and motivated to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Love retail, jewellery, homewares and people.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Have an eye for detail and enjoy maintaining product displays.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to understand and embrace our company philosophy.
- Be passionate about art and design.
To be successful in this role you will:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in fashion, design or beauty retail, ideally in a high-end or luxury environment
- A mature, confident approach when engaging with clients
- A strong sense of personal style and polished presentation
- Flexibility with rosters, from Wednesday-Sunday. Weekend availability required.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a small, close-knit team

This is an exciting role for an experienced retail professional with an interest in fashion and design, who can meet sales targets, build meaningful customer relationships and maintain a high level of store presentation.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Deliver a warm, personalised experience to every customer.
- Drive sales toward individual and store targets.
- Process sales, exchanges, enquiries and aftercare accurately and to the highest standard.
- Maintain product displays and store presentation inline with directives.
- Keep stock replenished, organised and well cared for.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand, sharing the stories behind our pieces.
